Beyond discussion of a very close and personal relation with Iwo BB I will address in my short presentation our work on improving understanding of QED vacuum response to strong fields using the phase space method. I will also describe our persistent efforts to improve the understanding of fundamental concepts in a wide range of fields including the electromagnetic theory.
