Quantum simulations of lattice gauge theories

I will discuss the physics of simple lattice gauge theory models in 1+1 (one spacial and time dimensions) that are amenable to almost exact numerical treatment. I will discuss the confinement in bosonic Schwinger model as an example of real time dynamics. I will show also, that Abelian-Higgs model on a 1D lattice may be interesting.
